On May 29, our school celebrated The International Children’s Day. This date is a permanent feature of our school calendar and each year we make every effort to ensure that our students have a day filled with fun and joy. This year’s event was focusing on the beautiful Polish folklore and the iconic Polish Rooster was our main symbol for the day. Our teachers prepared a whole lot of attractions, games and activities for the students, and the event was graced by the performance of the Lajkonik Song and Dance Ensemble, which made us all dance. As part of this year’s Children’s Day celebrations, students also took part in an art competition for the most beautiful Polish rooster. The selection of the winning entries was not easy as they were all unique and simply beautiful. Lajkonik’s dancers had quite a task while picking the winners. It was a wonderful day full of impressions, smiles and beautiful Polish colours.
We would like to thank the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Sydney for providing us with funds to organise this wonderful event.
