Drawing inspiration from the Polish Gardzienice and Song of the Goat theatre companies – as well as their great Polish theatre mentor Jerzy Grotowski – Theatre Dwa Konie Artistic Director Andy Biziorek marshals an extraordinarily creative cast. He pushes them to use the musicality of the body, voice, text, rhythm, instruments and traditional song in a production that aims to question the certainty of our beliefs and our assumptions about the way the world should be.
Andy Biziorek is a graduate of NIDA’s directing course and has spent the past five years ferrying between Australia and Poland where he worked extensively with Song of the Goat Theatre and Gardzienice. Recent credits include Stanislaw Witkiewicz's The Mother (Kropka Theatre, Sydney), Albert Camus' Caligula (Teatr Witkiewicz, Poland), Vaclav Havel's Unveiling (NIDA, Sydney), Do Dogs Dream of Angels? (Vis a Vis Theatre, Sydney), Hamlet (Vis a Vis) and Yurodivy (The Holy Fool)
